Michael is Deputy Head of the Commission’s Sanctions Unit, located in DG FISMA. Michael first joined the team in late 2018. He started his career in the Austrian Foreign Service and, after becoming a Commission official, he worked in competition law and anti-fraud. Michael has studied law and business science and holds a PhD in corporate law as well as the diploma of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.
